My name is Samantha Zuidam. My interests in culture and society have led me on wanderings across the globe. I like to connect, understand and then write about it in order to deliver a package of human connection to fellow humans.

I’ve travelled in New Zealand, South and Southeast Asia, studied in Canada, did research in Central America and lived in rural Australia. Amongst these experiences also emerged two university degrees from VU University Amsterdam. A MSc in Culture, Organization and Management and a BSc in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology.

My experiences in different cultures and societies, including my own in the Netherlands, are the ongoing inspiration for my writing. My writing is best described as a combination between anthropology, philosophy and journalism.
